What is this place?
Welcome to Dungeon Runners' currently unofficial suggestion collaboration website! You can submit ideas here for the Dungeon Runners community to vote on. You can also vote on the ideas of others. The Dungeon Runners development team is keeping a close eye on this website to help gauge the desires of the community.
Who's running this website?
I am! My name is Stephen Nichols. If you're interested in titles, I'm called the Producer / Co-lead Programmer for NCsoft's Dungeon Runners. This is currently my website, but I hope to get it integrated with the NCsoft website presence for Dungeon Runners at some point in the not-too-distant future.
Why are you running this website?
I believe we can always use more feedback from our players. The more the better. A primary goal of the Dungeon Runners team is to deliver features and content that the community wants! Obviously, we can only do that with clear feedback. Our primary means of getting this feedback so far has been our forums.
Click here to check them out. The boards work, but it's difficult to accurately gauge popular opinion from them. So, we've decided to experiment with a collaborative idea website. For various reasons, we can't get this done in-house quite yet. So, I took it upon myself (with the help of Posse Magnet 2.0 Dallas Snell), to host this website. The team wants your feedback. We want it bad!
How does this collaboration work?
I. Register. II. Submit ideas. III. Exchange comments. IV. Vote on other people's ideas.
There are two kinds of ideas as far as this website is concerned: Potentially Not Stupid Ideas and Possibly Usable Ideas. Newly submitted ideas are always potentially not stupid. The voting of the community decides if the idea truly is stupid or not. If an idea gets at least 10 votes and has an average rating of 3 Karls then it's promoted to a possibly usable idea!
Possibly usable ideas must maintain a 3 Karl rating to remain on the front page.
Possibly usable ideas will be looked at by the Dungeon Runners development team based on popularity and feasibility. We'll do our best to implement what you've chosen! In any case, we'll give you ample feedback on all possibly usable ideas!
How do I vote?
Look at the three tabs along the top of this page. Click on
Submit a New Idea! to get started.
Of course, the other two tabs let you see the current ideas floating about the system. When you're looking at an idea, you'll see some Karl heads (or Karl head outlines) nearby. Simply click on the number of Karls that you think the idea is worth. If you
hate an idea, click "I Hate This Idea". You can only vote once... and you cannot change your vote once you make it.
What does "I Hate This Idea" mean?
When you click this link on an idea, you're pretty much saying that you wish the idea would be deleted forever. You'll be registering a 0 Karl vote. If enough hate requests are received for an idea, it will be deleted.
How do I sort ideas?
When looking at a list of ideas, you can easily sort by "Most Popular", "Least Popular", "Newest" and "Oldest". Simply look at the top-right of the page for the "Sort ideas by:" section and click on the link that best suits you.
By default, ideas are sorted by "Most Popular". This sorting uses the sum of all votes on an idea. It'll let you know which ideas folks are giving the most attention to.
